Transportation to Ottawa
If you are arriving by air, there are two airports to choose from:
- Ottawa/Macdonald–Cartier International Airport (YOW) – 14 km
- Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) – 200 km

Public Transit (OC Transpo) from airport
Route 97 departs from pillar 14 outside the level 1 in the Arrivals area. It is a 25-30 minute ride from the airport to the campus. Route 97 uses low-floor, fully accessible buses that accommodate wheelchairs. Bus tickets are available for purchase at the Ground Transportation Desk located on level 1 at the central door of the Arrivals area.

Public Transit from train station
OC Transpo route 95 from the train station stops at the University of Ottawa campus. It is a 10 minute ride from the train station to the campus.
Ottawa’s main bus terminal is 2.5km from the University of Ottawa campus. Public transit (OC Transpo) from the terminal to the campus is available.

Public Transit (OC Transpo)
The University of Ottawa is located in the heart of downtown. The most convenient and hassle free option for arriving on campus is to take public transit (OC Transpo). Visit the OC Transpo website for fares, schedules, and maps. All OC Transpo buses are low-floor equipped and 100% accessible.
There are two main transit hubs on campus:
- Laurier (located between Tabaret Hall and Desmarais)
- Campus (located near Vanier Hall, CAREG and Lamoureux)
Bus tickets are available for purchase on campus at Pivik in the University Center - Level 0.
Given the breadth of the campus, it is suggested that you indicate the nearest building on campus to the taxi company for pick up and drop off.
Blue Line Taxi
All of the Congress hotels are within walking distance of the campus; many are less than 1 km away.
There is very little parking on and around the main campus. You are encouraged to walk, take public transit or a taxi.
Pay and display machines and meters are conveniently located around campus for short-term parking. Hourly rates apply. Cash and credit cards are accepted at most machines.
