Route 97 departs from pillar 14 outside the level 1 in the Arrivals area. It is a 25-30 minute ride from the airport to the campus. Route 97 uses low-floor, fully accessible buses that accommodate wheelchairs. Bus tickets are available for purchase at the Ground Transportation Desk located on level 1 at the central door of the Arrivals area.

Public Transit from train station
OC Transpo route 95 from the train station stops at the University of Ottawa campus. It is a 10 minute ride from the train station to the campus.

Ottawa’s main bus terminal is 2.5km from the University of Ottawa campus. Public transit (OC Transpo) from the terminal to the campus is available.

The University of Ottawa is located in the heart of downtown. The most convenient and hassle free option for arriving  on campus is to take public transit (OC Transpo). Visit the OC Transpo website for fares, schedules, and maps. All OC Transpo buses are low-floor equipped and 100% accessible.

There are two main transit hubs on campus:

  • Laurier (located between Tabaret Hall and Desmarais)
  • Campus (located near Vanier Hall, CAREG and Lamoureux)

Bus tickets are available for purchase on campus at Pivik in the University Center - Level 0.

Given the breadth of the campus, it is suggested that you indicate the nearest building on campus to the taxi company for pick up and drop off.

All of the Congress hotels are within walking distance of the campus; many are less than 1 km away.

Parking

There is very little parking on and around the main campus. You are encouraged to walk, take public transit, leave your car at your hotel or take a taxi.

However, there is a limited number of parking spaces in university garages, which are equipped with Pay and display machines for short-term parking. The cost is $16 per day or $4.50 per hour. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
