Exploring translation effects in Canada
This panel, hosted by Kathy Mezei, Sherry Simon, and Luise von Flotow, explores the effects that translation events have, both within and beyond official bilingualism, on Canadian and Quebec literary and cultural systems-- how they affect social and literary movements, influence opinions and redirect cultural trends.
The panel will be followed by the launch of Translation Effects. The Shaping of Modern Canadian Culture eds. Kathy Mezei, Sherry Simon, Luise von Flotow, McGill-Queen's UP 2014. Co-funded by MQUP.
