Dr. Janet Browne is Aramont professor of history of science at Harvard. She is author of a two-volume biography of Charles Darwin, winner of the James Tait Black award for non-fiction, WH.Heinemann Prize, and Pfizer Prize. Her talk addresses Darwin's finances in relation to his account-book approach to the natural world.
